First edition of The Boy's Book of Sports or Exercises And Pastimes of Youth , published in 1835 by S. Babcock, New Haven. This 24-page soft-cover volume is considered by many historians to be one of the most historically significant baseball books published during the first half of the nineteenth century due to the fact that it refers to the game of "Base ball" by name and also features a famous early woodcut of the game being played on the Boston Common. Features all pages firmly attached, tight binding, and bright covers. Overall Very Good condition with foxing.
