Carl Horner (1864-1926)

Group of five original Horner studio portrait cabinet photographs, including: Dave Altizer (1876-1964) as a member of the Washington Senators, c.1908, the same image used on his Colgan’s Chips card; Sammy Strang (1876-1932) as a member of the New York Giants, c.1906; George Scott (1879-?) as a member of the Cincinnati Reds, c.1908; Billy Gilbert (1876-1927) of the New York Giants in street clothes and Danny Murphy (1876-1955) of the Philadelphia Athletics also in street clothes. The Murphy cabinet is additionally inscribed in pencil on the reverse My Dear Mr. Potts, (of Baseball Magazine) Why is it that we do not get credit in your magazine as agreed, we do not care to furnish or rush photos for you unless we get credit under pictures in the BB Magazine.
