A 19th Century trophy bat presented to Cincinnati Red Stockings outfielder George Tebeau for his excellent performance against the Chicagos following the Red Stockings 1887 season. An engraved metal plaque on the barrel reads, Presented by Danl Sully to George Tebeau of the Cincinnati Base Ball Club for Best Batting Record in a Game Against the Chicagos, Played Tuesday, Oct. 11, 1887. Exhibits moderate wear, minor indentations, scratches and light scuff marks.
