A group of three Puerto Rican League player contracts for Negro League and Caribbean greats Francisco “Pancho” Coimbre (1909-1989) and Juan “Tetelo” Vargas (1906-1971), including: a contract for the 1939/40 season between Coimbre and the Ponce club for $12 a week plus expenses, signed Francisco Coimbre in blue ink and countersigned by the President of the club and two witnesses; a contract for the 1941/42 season between Vargas and the Guayama club for $40 a week plus expenses, signed Juan Vargas in blue ink and countersigned by the President of the club and two witnesses; and a contract for the 1943/44 season between Vargas and the Santurce club for $35 a week plus expenses, signed Juan Vargas in black ink and countersigned by the President of the club and two witnesses. Overall Excellent condition.
