A two-page typewritten letter dated September 28th, 1929 from legendary writer Ring Lardner (1885-1933) to Hall of Famer Walter Johnson. Lardner jokingly gives Johnson criticism on his Senators You ought to play Joe Judge in some position with which he is familiar. The young fellow in centerfield is pretty good. Last time I saw him he was just a kid fan sitting in a box, waiting for Earl Smith to hit him a fly ball so he could autograph it. And the Cronin boy has a tendency to get the ball away from him before he has even found out who manufactured it. Signed Ring Lardner in black ink. Overall Good condition with foxing and scrapbook residue.
