The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
In addition to the catalogue description:
- with 10-35 mm. margins.
- slightly irregularly trimmed at left and above.
- the platemark split in places (as result of the printing process).
- a rust stain at the lower left plate corner.
- some minor pale brown stains, mostly on the right side of the image.
- inscribed in pencil with Schiefler's number and the title and date.
- the sheet partially thinly backed with wove paper.
- with the Basel estate stamp inscribed in black ink R. 52, also inscribed in pencil with the numbers K9781 and 9438 verso.
Otherwise as described and generally in good condition for a print by Kirchner of this period, framed.
