The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Watercolour and pencil on wove paper. Hinged to the mount at the reverse upper sheet corners. The upper edge slightly unevenly cut. Seven soft horizontal flattened creases to the sheet, mostly visible on the reverse, and a few further soft handling marks elsewhere. Some light- and mount-staining, the latter visible on the reverse. A few unobtrusive foxmarks. The reverse sheet edges with old adhesive remnants. The reverse with two spots of skinning, one at the upper right corner, the other towards the centre of the sheet. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
