The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Watercolour, pen and India ink and wash on thick wove paper. Hinged to the mount at the reverse upper sheet corners. A few spots of pigment loss to the more thickly applied India ink. A diagonal line of surface abrasion in the lower left quadrant, visible in raking light. Light-staining and minor surface dirt. A few foxmarks visible recto. The reverse with scattered foxmarks and the reverse sheet edges with old mounting and adhesive remnants. Subject to the foregoing, it is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally good condition.
