The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

In addition to the catalogue description, each the full sheet, light- and time staining, offsetting on the pages opposite the lithographs, occasional pinpoint foxmarks in places, a 1¹⁄₂-in. tear at the lower sheet edge of the fourth page, stray ink in places in the lower margin of pages 58 and 59, the last two pages uncut (presumably from time of production) at the upper sheet edge, minor handling wear to the cover and a 2-in. area of minor splitting in the spine
