Carlos Garaicoa (b. 1967) is a Cuban installation artist and photographer who began his career in the 1990s. Best known for his use of images making reference to architecture, his work often alludes to cities in various states of decay, with the crumbling architecture of Havana being particularly inspirational for the artist. During his time at Graphicstudio from 2010 to 2012, many of his print editions were based on architectural imagery. Garaicoa created four screenprinted projects with the studio including My Last Word, a 7-run screenprint on self-healing cutting mats that incorporates unique images created by the artists.
