Lot Essay

The Jordan XI 'Concord' is the iconic sneaker that was historically worn by Michael Jordan throughout the 1995-96 NBA season, where Jordan achieved his second three-peat victory.

In these years, Michael Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to an unprecedented 72-win campaign, culminating a triumphant six-game defeat of the Seattle SuperSonics in the NBA Finals to clinch Chicago's fourth NBA Championship title. Jordan, in his first full season back from his sojourn in Minor League Baseball, won yet another NBA scoring title with an average of 30.4 points per game. Michael Jordan was also awarded his fourth of five NBA MVP awards in 1995-96, selected as the Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player after scoring 27.3 points per game against Seattle in the NBA Finals.

The white and black-accented sneakers are complete with the embroidered Jumpman logo and Jordan's number "23" on both heels. The instep heel of each sneaker features Michael Jordan’s signature in blue marker.

These sneakers include a Letter of Authenticity from MEARS for game use, in addition to a Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication for the two Michael Jordan signatures.
