Marty McFly’s self-lacing NIKE MAGs in the 1989 sequel, Back to the Future II, are one of the most iconic sneakers of all time. Released in 2011 to benefit Parkinson’s Research through the Michael J. Fox foundation, this sneaker is one of incredible provenance, created in collaboration with Nike for a great cause. At the shoe's 2011 inception, an impressive $4.7 million was raised through online auction sales, matched by a donation from Sergey Brin, resulting in a total donation amount of $9.4 million for charity.

With only 1500 pairs released, each shoe features LED illuminated elements throughout the heel and upper velcro strap. In the film, Marty time travels from 1989 to 2015, where people are using flying cars, hoverboards, and of course – the self-lacing NIKE MAGs.
