These sneakers were created during Virgil Aboh's collaboration with Nike in 2017, in a capsule of "The Ten" reworks of classic Nike silhouettes. Each rework has a deconstructed element, exposing materials and textiles that would have typically been covered in a standard shoe.
The designs were innovative, which is undoubtedly the result of Nike giving Virgil Abloh creative freedom over the collection. Christie's is proud to bring a new, Virgil Abloh signed pair to auction.
