The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record the changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Box with birds and prunus:
- The box and cover possibly a marriage
- Cover has six small repairs to the mouth rim on the interior, all with associated short and fine cracks
- Cover has another two short fine cracks
- Box has a chip to the mouth, a few minute nicks and fine cracks

Box with Budai:
- The cover has a shallow chip and a fine crack to the mouth rim on the interior
- The box has a few chips and nicks to edges, one has an associated fine crack, and some of which have been repaired
- The box has two other fine cracks, including one that circles around the exterior of the mouth

Snuff bottle:
- There are a few minute and minor relacquered spots to the mouth rim
