Overall good and stable condition; ready to place. Each with sunfading throughout, particularly to sides and top most frieze. The ormolu to both with some surface scratches, tarnish, verdigris and rubbing. Some areas possibly re-gilt, with some surface dust and dirt as well.

Commode A: The marble with scattered surface nicks and scratches, natural inclusions, and minor 'nibbling' to edges. A somewhat waxy appearance. The second drawer with horizontal crack to veneer. Both right and left sides with sunfading and dry. The left side with a vertical crack to veneer panel. Scattered shrinkage cracks. Left pull to second drawer loose. Small horizontal shrinkage crack to third drawer. Interior of drawers painted. Some areas of infill or restaining to veneer.

Commode B: The marble with scattered surface nicks and scratches, natural inclusions, and minor 'nibbling' to edges. Sunfading more prominently to both sides. Dryness and scattered areas of veneer shrinkage throughout. Vertical shrinkage crack to left side on most centeral panel. Ormolu slightly lifted under top friezes, most likely due to shrinkage. Interior of drawers painted.
