(2) Schøyen Collection, MS 5559/2.

The graphically-notated Pole für 2 was written in 1970 and designed to use material drawn spontaneously by two performers from shortwave radio broadcasts. It was first played more than 1,000 times at Expo '70 in Osaka by a number of different performers including the composer. The score, published in 1975, consists of a series of approximately 200 events incorporating plus, minus or equal signs which direct the performers to vary the inputs in relation to one of four musical parameters; it also includes directions for the spatial placement of the sound sources.
