The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The table knives with new steel blades. Some bruising and wear on the silver filled handles. The seven Paris, 1782 knives: six with faintly engaved or partly erased coat-of-arms accole under comte coronet, one with cypher. Six knives with cypher with traces of marks and two with later Minerve hallmark.
The cheese knives with maker's mark possibly IT in court script, with original shaped blades; bruising and pitting on the silver handles; four with wear to the silver scroll on handles with filling showing underneath.
