The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

First fish slice: swan mark only. Tip of the tail slighlty lifting updwards on one side. Engraving very slighlty worn.
Second fish slice: marks good; some scratching and dents due to usual wear; the section nearer the handle with crease. Wood handle with some cleaning product stains and some scuff marks. Holding pins possibly later replacement.
Third fish slice: marks good, some scratching and dents due to usual wear; small split on the scooping side approx. 2 mm.; wood handle detachable and possible replacement (light colour wood) with some chips in the wood and small section missing on the finial.
Cake slice: maker's mark partly legible. Small split in the motifs of flowers near the junction to handle with corresponding crease in the slice. Wear to motifs nearer the tip. Wood handle detachable and with some cleaning product stains and discoloration.
The silver-plated slice with crease in centre and some light scratching consistent with age and use.
