The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Watercolour, charcoal and pencil on paper. Attached to the mount in places on the reverse sheet. The left and right sheet edges are deckled. With the watermark ‘ARCHES’. The sheet slightly undulates due to the mounting. Some minor handling marks and pale surface dirt mainly towards the edges. The pigments are very strong and fresh throughout. It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.

Aquarelle, fusain et crayon sur papier. Fixé au support par endroits sur le verso. Les bords droits et gauches de la feuille sont non ébarbés. Avec le filigrane ‘ARCHES’. La feuille ondule légèrement à cause du montage. Quelques traces de manipulations mineures et salissures pâles de la surface principalement vers les bords. Les pigments sont vifs et frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Selon notre opinion cette œuvre semble être en très bon état général.
