The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Sanguine and chalk on paper. Free-floating. The upper and left sketch edges deckled. A couple of artist’s tack holes at the extreme four corners. With the watermark ‘’ARCHES’ lower left. Some areas of light rubbing of the pigments towards the upper right edge and towards the center of the lower edge. The pigments are very strong and fresh throughout. It is our opinion that this work appears to be in generally very good condition.

Sanguine et craie sur papier. La feuille est libre dans son cadre. Les bords supérieur et droit sont non ébarbés. Quelques trous de punaise faits par l’artiste aux quatre coins. Avec le filigrane ‘ARCHES’ en bas à droite. Quelques zones de frottements superficiels sur les pigments vers le bord supérieur droit et vers le centre du bord inférieur. Les pigments sont vifs et frais sur l’ensemble de la composition. Selon notre opinion cette œuvre apparait en très bonne condition générale.
