The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The first, good impression and colour. Pinholes repaired in upper margin, otherwise overall good condition.
The second, fair impression and good colour. Slight soiling and rubbing. Bottom margin trimmed to border and re-margined with a strip of modern paper. Slight wear at paper edges.
The third, good impression and colour. Bottom margin completely trimmed to barder and re-margined with a strip of modern paper. Other margins slightly trimmed.
The fourth, good impression and colour. Backed and binding holes to right margin. Margins trimmed.
The fifth, good impression and colour. Left margin re-margined. Soiled and rubbed. Some holes restored to verso.
