The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The first, good impression and colour. Restored vertical centrefold. Further restorations to top margin. Light soiling and slight trimming.
The second, good impression, colours faded. Paper toned and foxed. Vertical centrefold. Small wormholes and other damages repaired. Slight trimming with edges slightly worn. Light soiling.
The third, good impression and fair colour. Re-margined. Light soiling and rubbing. Backed and with small restorations.
The fourth, good impression, fair colour. Paper toned and foxed. Some soiling and restored centrefold, further restorations. Paper thinning.
