The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The first, good impression. Slight fading, creased and trimmed. Elongated tear from bottom right corner into centre repaired with tape to verso. Further tears from top edge. Paper toned and trimmed.
The second top and bottom margins trimmed to borders. Top margin with added modern paper.
The third fair impression, faded and slight soiling. Binding holes to left margin. Small repairs.
The fourth, faded, toned, trimmed and brittle paper.
The fifth, margins trimmed to borders. Soiled overall and restorations to edges.
The sixth, large tear to left hand edge. Paper toned and brittle. Colours faded.
The seventh, soiled and toned. paper brittle and bottom margin trimmed.
