The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The first, good impression and colour. Soiled, rubbed and creased. Restorations and wear to edges, especially the right edge. Trimmed and loosely fixed to card mount at top edge.
The second, fair impression and colour. Creased, toned and light soiling. Paper thin in places and with restoration to right edge. Loosely fixed to card mount at top edge.
The third, faded, paper toned and rubbed. Trimmed and backed onto card. Lightly soiled at edges.
The fourth, faded, creased and soiled overall. Paper worn. Holes within the woman's skirt and small damages elsewhere. Trimmed and backed. Loosely fixed to card mount at top edge.
