The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Minor wear is to the corner tips and turning edges, and the canvas undulates slightly. A faint stretcher bar impression is in the upper half of the canvas. There is slight lifting to the corners of the paper collage elements. On the lower side edge of the canvas, there is an inactive mold pattern, which has been recently treated by a conservator and cleaned. There is no apparent inpainting visible under ultraviolet light.
