The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Quality of weaving is excellent. Very wearable. The shawl has been made up of two main panels, joined about 1/3 down from the top, the bottom corners are patched and joined. The two ends and the red braid border are modern additions. There are several old darns, a few minute tears and some stains which have been bleached.
