The quality of the palla (end panels) weaving is very good. The colours are fresh, but the ivory is now yellow in tone. With scattered stains to the field and borders. Both ends have raw edges. Lateral borders (hashiya) have a later braid attached. The centre and borders has been repaired and darned in several areas. On one end of the palla, an approx. 1¼in. (3cm.) hole has been darned following the boteh pattern. The borders are supported on the reverse with fine muslin.
