The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Oil on canvas. Not lined. The corners with the artist's pinholes. On close inspection there is some paint separation in places. On close inspection there are some small losses to some areas of thicker impasto, predominantly in the centre of the composition. Some surface dirt. Examined under ultra-violet light: there are some tiny spots of fluorescence in places, predominantly to the lower right directly under the flowers and a small spot to the right of the vase, and another to the left. Subject to the foregoing it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
