The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Oil on canvas. Not lined. Frame abrasion with a few tiny associated paint losses. There is a tiny paint loss at the extreme upper right edge. On very close inspection there is some hairline craquelure in two places in the white pigments. Examined under ultra-violet light: there is a layer of varnish visible and some tiny spots of fluorescence to the centre left edge and the centre of the canvas. Subject to the foregoing it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally good condition.
