The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Oil on canvas. Not lined. Minor frame abrasion with associated paint losses. On close inspection their is craquelure to the impasto in places. There is evidence of paint cracking in places to the upper half of the composition, the varnish is slightly discoloured. Examined under ultra-violet light: nothing shows. Subject to the foregoing it is our opinion that the work appears to be in generally very good condition.
