Jam is the ruling title of the princely family of Nawanagar (now known as Jamnagar) in Gujarat. Ranmalji Sataji II was the sixteenth Jam Saheb of Nawanagar. The first Jam Saheb founded the city of Nawanagar (the new town) in 1540 after migrating from Kutch.
