Repaired tear to centre right of painting, approx. 3 inches, from outer edge of pink border to grey background. Another repaired tear to centre left, approx. 1½ inches, from outer edge of pink border across ruled margins. Small creases visible over both shoulder of sitter. Grey background and pink border with very minor areas of craquelure and loss to pigment.
