Opaque pigment heightened with gold on paper, the first depicting Hanuman bringing the life-restoring herb from mount Dronagiri to the wounded Lakshmana, in yellow margins, with black rules, with red borders ; the second composed of vignettes depicting events of Krishna's youth including him killing Sakatasura, the hand-cart demon, the reverse with 9ll. of devanagari script, in yellow margins, in double black rules
The first 6 1/8in. (15.5cm.) square, the second 14 x 7 ½in. (35.6 x 19cm.)
