This painting is in overall good condition. There are small areas of flaking of paint, for instance below the hoof of the blue horse in the bottom left hand corner, or beneath the end of the whip carried by the horseman in pink. There are minor areas of staining. An owner has put two arrows in the pink margin in the upper right hand corner. These are however in pencil and should be easy to remove. There is an attached fly-leaf. The reverse of the painting has an owner's mark and a sketch of a seated crowned figure.
