The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The surface is creased. Some old creases have been repainted. This is mostly visible in the lower part of the painting and in places in the upper part. There are creases across the top right corner. The pigments are slightly rubbed. There is a small hole and tears in the lower left corner of the painting. The painting was backed on paper a long time ago.
