The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Very light areas of flaking to the lower part of the dress of the courtesan and to the silver pillars of the pavilion as visible in the catalogue image. The margin has an area of loss to the lower edge which measures less than a third of the length of the lower margin. The corners of the margins have been cut and there is a small split to the left hand margin. These do not affect the painting.
