Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the ruler wearing an intricate turban held with gold sarpech, a diaphanous robe and orange sash, his palms held together above his head, depicted worshipping the sun god Surya appearing in the sky with his consort Chhaya sitting in their cart drawn by a seven headed horse and steered by the charioteer Arun, an attendant with ewer and cup behind him
