The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This painting has most likely been re-laid on card. Its right marginal are shows a linear split or flaking area running up to the lobed arch located behind the female attendants. The pigments have tarnished overall. As visible in the online illustration, there is an area of scuffing which led to loss below the lobed arch leading into the palace. The card is splitting at its corners.
