The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

This folio has one hole, about 1cm. across in the upper right hand corner. This however only affects the margin. The margin has further staining, and some scuffing. The staining also affects the painting, but can be seen in the catalogue image (visible at its worst in the blue of the sky), mostly along the left hand edge. There are very minor areas of flaking of paint, for instance towards the bottom of the figure's turban. The reverse has later owner's notes in pen and pencil.
