The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
This painting has some areas of scuffing of paint. This is most noticeable in the stream in the foreground, as visible in the image. This is also noticeable in the nimbuses of Vallabhacharya and his son. There are some creases to the folio, the worst in the lower left hand corner where this has resulted in a split in the paper around 2cm. long. There are further losses to the folio, mostly around the edges - these are a minor condition concern. There is some staining, worst at the top of the tree that protrudes from behind the pavilion on the left hand side of the composition. There are other smaller areas, but this is by far the most noticeable.
