The three faced, six armed form of Hayagriva in his ‘Secret Accomplishment’ form stands in a militant gesture, treading on eight snakes with his eight legs. He is adorned with skull crowns, bone and snake ornaments, and a garland of severed heads.. He wears a tiger skin dhoti and wraps a human hide on his back. A vajra scepter is held in his upper right hand, and would have once held a spear, a lasso of intestines, a sword, and a ritual staff in his other hands. Compare the style of the base and the dynamic posture with another gilt-bronze of the Hayagriva sold at Christie’s New York, 21 March 2012, lot. 805.
