Lot Essay

This gilt bronze repoussé ritual hanging implement features a lintel with dragon-head ends and a vajra positioned perpendicularly in the centre. The lintel is intricately carved with swirling vine motifs. The vajra is flanked by two dragons facing it, their talons resting on gold balls. The bottom of the vajra is connected to a hook.
