The baluster vases cast in bronze and finely finished with a greenish-gold patina with flaring necks and applied handles cast as phoenix with wings spread and decorated on the surface with scrolling vines and leaves carved in sunken relief and flush-inlaid copper and gold, the tails of the phoenix handles pendant links in copper with arrowhead-shaped weights, the shoulders decorated with chrysanthemum heads in gold; with separately cast bronze stands
