Signed Hirado Mikawachi Imamura hitsu, Meiji period (late 19th century)
Decorated in underglaze blue and relief with basket-weave design to the shoulder, above the foot rim and between the four panels containing a dragon above turbulent waves, kirin and phoenix, tiger and crabs by a bank, the cover similarly decorated with a finial modelled as a shishi
