The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

FRANÇAIS :
A l'œil nu, le tableau se présente dans un bon état de conservation général. Il est peint sur un papier contrecollé sur un carton, très stable. Il a un réseau de craquelures un peu épais dans les fonds en haut ainsi que dans la partie basse de la chevelure. A l'œil nu, on constate des repeints le long des bords correspondant certainement à des frottements de cadre. On constate une petite réparation en bas à droite correspondant à un ancien clou tenant le carton.
A la lampe UV, on constate des restaurations dans le réseau de craquelures dans les fonds ainsi que dans la chevelure. On ne constate pas de restaurations dans le visage. On constate les restaurations sur les bords précédemment signalées. Petite restauration dans la gorge du modèle. Dans un cadre doré richement orné de rubans, lauriers et oiseaux qui mesure 72 x 49 cm.

ENGLISH :
To the naked eye, the painting is in a good overall condition. It is painted on a paper laid down on cardboard, very stable. It has quite of a thick cracks network in the backgrounds as well as in the lower part of the hair. To the naked eye, some restorations are visible along the edges certainly corresponding to the friction of the frame. A little retouche appears in the upper right corresponding to a former clove holding the cardboard.
Examination under UV lighting shows restorations on the cracks network in the backgrounds as well as in the hair of the sitter. No restoration can be seen in the face. Some restorations afore mentioned are visible along the edges. A small restoration is visible on the neck of the model. In a giltwood frame enriched with ribbons, laurel and birds which measures 72 x 49 cm.
