The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

A l'oeil nu, le tableau se présente dans un bon état de conservation générale. Il est peint sur un carton, enduit à l'arrière d'une préparation blanche, et posé sur un châssis. Le carton est parfaitement stable. A l'oeil nu, on ne remarque pas d'altération majeure de matière, hors mis deux légères griffures dans la partie supérieure, dans les fonds, peu visibles. Le vernis est assez clair.
A la lampe UV, on constate des restaurations dans les fonds du tableau, les sombres ont été renforcés dans la partie droite le long du bord, ainsi que dans la partie supérieure (quelques retouches ponctuelles) et on constate également des retouches le long du bord gauche. On ne constate pas de retouches récentes dans le bouquet de fleurs à la lampe UV. Le tableau est sous un vernis uniforme, légèrement épais. Dans un cadre enduit 117 x 100 cm. environ

The painting is in a good overall condition. It is painted on a cardboard covered on its reverse with an ancient white preparation. The cardboard is mounted on a stretcher and is perfectly stable. We cannot see any important defection to the naked eye beside two very tiny scratches in the background (left to the bouquet and on the top of it). The varnish is quite clear.
Examination under UV lighting reveals some restorations in the background, in the right side we can see that along the right edge, the dark areas have been reinforced as in the left side, also along the left edge. We can see some smaller restoration in the dark areas above the bouquet. The bouquet does not have any recent restoration to be seen under the UV lighting. The painting is covered in a coat of even slightly thick varnish. In a frame, with gilt and paints (117 x 100 cm. approx).
