Wax lined. Stretcher bar marks to the upper edge. Frame abrasion to the extreme edges, small paint loss in the lower left corner. Scattered fine lines of craquelure. Examined under ultraviolet light. The canvas presents with a milky green varnish. Scattered strokes of inpainting, primarily to the column and stairs at right and under the horses stomach.
