The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The canvas has a wax lining. Frame abrasion to the extreme edges. Minor undulation to the canvas. Scattered fine lines of craquelure. A few scattered pin-point pigment losses, primarily to the upper grey ground. Examined under ultraviolet light. Scattered strokes of inpainting throughout. An approximate 6-inch repaired tear to the center left of the composition.
