The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall with some wear consistent with age, use, and storage, throughout with slight variation in size, shape, and design due to the different makers, as noted with various crests, monograms, and other engravings throughout, the engravings worn to varying degrees, the spoons with some wear to the edges of the bowls, some tablespoons with some minor bends to the edges, the forks with some wear to end tines and tips, some tines not perfectly straight and even, a few tines lightly hooked, the knives all with hollow pistol handles and steel blades, the blades also with variation in size and shape and some variously stamped, with some minor bruises to the handles, a couple of the dessert knives with blades very slightly loose, but secure, the luncheon knives with one blade very slightly loose, but secure, another with the blade slightly loose and separated from the handle, but secure, six dinner knives with very slightly smaller handles and replaced blades, the marks on the knife handles largely rubbed and unreadable, some knives seemingly unmarked, as noted the spoons and forks with various makers, noted below:
