The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall good condition; some light surface scratches and wear; some wear to the gilding, particularly to the finials, handles and rims; some typical frits and small chips to the rims and high points; some small imperfections in the making; a few pieces with small flakes to the enamels; minor wear/a few tiny chips to the applied flowerheads on the reticulated pieces; further issues and sizes enumerated below:
Two large soup tureens, covers and one stand, 141⁄2 in. long, the stand—Generally good condition; one with some glaze lines, particularly to the finial and the area surrounding the finial; the other with restoration to the stem on the finial.
A smaller tureen, cover and stand, 111⁄2 in. long, the stand—Good condition; a small chip to the rim of tureen.
A sauce tureen, cover and stand, 8 in. long, the stand—Good condition; a tiny chip to the underside of the rim of the stand.
Two rocaille molded wine coolers, 9 in. wide, overall—One with a restored lobe to the rim and an associated crack (approx. 5 in.), a star glaze crack to the underside and a C-shaped glaze crack to the interior, some drips to the iron-red on the handle in the making; the other in good condition, a small frit to its rim.
Two oval reticulated baskets and four shaped stands, 103⁄8 in. long, the stands—One basket handle restored; otherwise in good order.
Two smaller oval reticulated baskets and shaped stands, 83⁄8 in. long, the stands—One stand with a restored rim chip at 8 o’clock; otherwise in good order.
A larger shaped oval reticulated stand, 111⁄4 in. long—Good condition; a few minute chips to flowerheads.
Four small lobed lozenge shaped dishes, 81⁄8 in. (20.5 cm.) long--
A large shaped octagonal platter, 161⁄4 in. long—With rim chips near 5, 9 and 11 o’clock, some stacking wear and light wear to the central arms; otherwise in good order.
A small shaped octagonal platter, 131⁄4 in. long—Nice condition; a faint drip possibly in the making.
Two soup plates, 87⁄8 in. diameter—A few tiny shallow rim chips, otherwise in good order.
A large punch-bowl, 141⁄8 in. diameter—A large chip to the rim with an associated fine hairline crack (approx. 3 in.).
Two punch-pots and covers, 11 in. long, overall—Both cover’s with the stem to the finial restored, one also with two restored rim chips and restoration to chip at the tip of the fruit; one pot with restoration to its spout tip.
A teacaddy and cover, 5 in. high—Nice condition.
